Renowned Nollywood actor Pete Edochie has shared a candid account of a near-fatal accident he survived due to binge drinking during an interview with media personality Chude Jideonwo.
In the interview, Pete Edochie recounted a harrowing incident from 1977 when he was involved in a car accident with a stationary trailer. He revealed that his excessive drinking had led him to fall asleep at the wheel while leaving Nsukka. This lapse in awareness resulted in a collision with the stationary trailer, which could have cost him his life. Fortunately, he escaped the accident alive, attributing his survival to divine intervention.
Pete Edochie disclosed that his car had collided with the trailer, causing him to veer off the road and crash into a thicket of bushes. He acknowledged that his overindulgence in alcohol had contributed to the dangerous situation he found himself in.
Throughout his life, Pete Edochie has encountered multiple brushes with mortality. He revealed that he had previously experienced a different near-death experience, and he even recounted a kidnapping incident he had lived through.
