The song carries a bright, infectious mood from start to finish, with Flavour’s smooth highlife-influenced delivery blending naturally with Diamond Platnumz’s melodic Swahili-infused vocals.
Released on 15 August 2018 as a standalone single, “Time to Party” came through a major cross-regional collaboration between Nigeria and Tanzania, further strengthening the Afro-pop and Bongo Flava connection across Africa.
The track was produced by Masterkraft, who builds a lively instrumental layered with upbeat percussion, bouncing basslines, and celebratory horn-like textures that give the record its festival-ready feel.
