Nollywood actress Shaffy Bello has opened up about her decision to end her 25-year marriage, citing the challenges of a long-distance relationship as the main reason. She revealed this during a conversation with popular media personality Chude Jideonwo.
According to Shaffy, her estranged husband, Mr. Akinrimisi, was based in the United States, which led to a long-distance union. She expressed that the geographical separation took a toll on their marriage, leading her to opt for a divorce.
While acknowledging that her ex-husband was a good father to their children, Shaffy explained that she reached a point where she desired more from her life. Despite traveling back and forth, she realized that pursuing her dreams would require sacrifices. Unfortunately, the distance between them made it difficult to sustain their relationship, and she ultimately chose divorce.
Shaffy Bello emphasized that her decision was not a sacrifice of marriage but rather a recognition of the challenges posed by the long-distance situation.
