On the occasion of his late wife Nomthi’s posthumous birthday, Pastor Taiwo Odukoya, the senior pastor of Fountain of Life Church in Lagos, took to Instagram to celebrate her. Nomthi passed away on November 9, 2021, after a two-year battle with cancer.
In his Instagram post, Pastor Odukoya expressed his deep affection for Nomthi, describing her as his confidante, best friend, lover, and more. He acknowledged the extraordinary nature of their union, attributing it to her warmth, kindness, and unwavering support. He also highlighted the enduring legacy of her kindness, compassion, and resilience. The post concluded with a heartfelt message of love, wishing Nomthi a happy birthday and assuring her of his eternal love.
Ibukun Awosika, a member of Pastor Odukoya’s church and former chairman of First Bank of Nigeria Ltd, commented on the post, praising Nomthi’s inner and outer beauty and expressing everlasting love and remembrance for her. Gospel singer Nikki Laoye also joined in, commemorating Nomthi on her shared birthday and sending wishes for her to rest in peace.
Pastor Taiwo Odukoya married Nomthi, a South African, in January 2010, five years after the death of his first wife, Pastor Bimbo Odukoya, who tragically lost her life in a plane crash on December 11, 2005.
