Nollywood mourn as filmmaker, Charles Granville dies

Nollywood actor, singer-songwriter, and filmmaker, Charles Granville, has sadly passed away following an undisclosed illness. According to a family statement, the ‘Tinsel’ actor succumbed to a prolonged illness on Thursday, September 21, 2023.

The family statement, signed by a family member named Iyenemri Somiari Granville, also mentioned that details about funeral arrangements will be shared at a later time.

Charles Granville’s untimely demise has left the Nollywood industry in mourning. Until his passing, he served as the Chairman of the Advisory Committee on Arts and Entertainment. His notable filmography included roles in ‘Last Flight To Abuja,’ ‘Impossible Relationships,’ ‘Dowry Man,’ and an upcoming movie titled ‘Locked.’
