Oludipe Oluwasanmi David, better known by his stage name Spyro, is a Nigerian musician who talks about how slightly hurt he felt by Oxlade and Fireboy’s success.
He discussed his previous frustrations in an interview with well-known podcaster Taymesan.
Spyro claims that because they were all once up-and-coming musicians, he was annoyed when they blew him away.
He remembers thinking his career would take off after presenting a performance in 2018 featuring Davido and Mayorkun because he had previously written a song with them at the time.
Unfortunately for him, he didn’t blow then and seeing others that used to be somewhat under him weakened his morale and drive.
However, he believes it was a lesson from God who was teaching him patience.
