Crayon, the popular singer, opened up about his family’s past struggles, recalling the challenging days when his mother sold fruits for 19 years straight at Iyana-Iba, Lagos.
Speaking about his new album, ‘Trench to Triumph,’ the artist emphasized that the album reflects his real-life experiences before attaining fame. Crayon shared that his family used to reside in a tumultuous face-me-I-face-you house where neighbors frequently clashed.
In order to make ends meet, his mother dedicated nearly two decades to hawking fruits at Iyana-Iba, Lagos, demonstrating the resilience and determination that paved the way for their family.
He says that he has gone through his trenches time and he is at the point in his life when everything is moving good and he’s in his triumphant era.
