The Fountain of Life Church has announced Jimmy Odukoya, the son of its late founder Taiwo Odukoya, as the new Senior Pastor of the church. The announcement was made during a church service at its headquarters in Lagos.
According to Rotimi Okpaise, a pastor who addressed the congregation, the late Taiwo Odukoya had confided in the Board of Trustees members about the succession plan before his passing. The Board of Trustees unanimously elected Jimmy as the Senior Pastor and chairperson of the board.
Jimmy Odukoya is not only a pastor but also a Nollywood actor and musician. He began his acting career in 2016 and has appeared in various films, including Netflix’s “Woman King” and other Nigerian movies. In addition to his acting career, Jimmy is known for his motivational speaking, dance, and fitness interests.
In an interview, Jimmy Odukoya emphasized that being a pastor does not affect his acting career, stating that there is no such thing as a “Christian actor.” He believes in pursuing both his pastoral and acting passions simultaneously.
