TY Bello, a popular singer and photographer, has revealed that she pursued a university education primarily to fulfill her mother’s wishes. She admitted that her original plan after graduation was to become a successful hairstylist, as she had always been creatively inclined from a young age.
TY Bello shared that she began writing songs when she was just 8 years old. During her appearance on the I Said What I Said podcast, hosted by FK and Jola, she disclosed that she ventured into photography and music simultaneously. Reflecting on her post-university confusion, she explained that while her classmates had clear career aspirations, she lacked a specific dream.
However, she decided to pursue photography and requested to be posted to a phototech during her National Youth Service Corps (NYSC). This turning point marked the beginning of her journey as a photographer, ultimately shaping her into the person she is today, despite not having anticipated a career in photography originally.
