Terna Tarka, the ex-husband of reality star Venita Akpofure, has refuted claims made by his ex-wife about Tiv men. Venita Akpofure sparked controversy when she claimed on the BBNaija reality show that “Tiv men give their wives to visitors for entertainment purposes.”
This statement led to outrage among the Tiv people of Nigeria’s North Central region, with many calling for legal action against her.
In response, Hon. Tarkighir, who is associated with the Tiv community, has suggested that legal action should be taken against Venita and the Big Brother Naija brand for providing her with a platform to make defamatory statements about the Tiv tribe.
Three weeks after the end of the show, the ex-husband of Venita came out with counterclaims to his ex-wife’s claim that TIV men give their wives to guests to sexually satisfy them.
According to him, he comes from a respected family and never gave his ex-wife to any guest as claimed. He also emphasized that none of the TIV men practice such acts.
