Nigerian highlife music legend, Sir Victor Olaiya has been reportedly dead this evening at the age of 89 after a brief illness.

Singer Olaiya, is among the legends whose music has continued to attract both old and young artists, died at the Lagos University Teaching Hospital, LUTH, on Wednesday.

The death of the deceased who celebrated his 89 birthday last December, was confirmed by the Managing Director of Evergreen Music Company Ltd., Bimbo Esho.
