Nigerian singer Olawale Ibrahim Ashimi, popularly known as Brymo, has revealed a surprising reason for declining a feature request from his fellow singer, Simi. In response to a fan suggesting that Simi’s husband, Adekunle Gold, should collaborate with Brymo on his upcoming album ‘Tequila Ever After,’ Brymo disclosed that both Adekunle Gold and Simi had approached him for collaborations in the past, but he turned down their requests.
Brymo stated that he declined to work with Simi specifically because she did not agree to “get intimate” with him, implying that he wanted a deeper emotional connection to create more intensity in their collaborative work. He shared that he had no knowledge of their relationship at the time of his decision. Despite Adekunle Gold reaching out later, Brymo believes fate or his own choice led to no further interaction between them for a joint project.
