I got my six-packs from physical, hard labour, hunger – Rema

Rema, the talented Nigerian singer whose real name is Divine Ikubor, has unveiled the secret behind his well-built physique.

In a recent interview with Spotify, the Benin-born artist attributed his six-pack abs to poverty and hunger. Rema revealed that engaging in physically demanding tasks such as fetching water from a well and enduring hunger played a significant role in shaping his body.

He stated, “I don’t go to the gym. I’ve always had my body shaped that way, ever since my time in Benin, where I would fetch water and carry buckets of water, even wheelbarrows. When I was hustling in Ghana and doing strenuous labor, I started getting ripped naturally from the work I was doing. On days when I starved, my abs just appeared like magic [laughs].”

Rema’s remarks shed light on the challenging circumstances he faced growing up and how those experiences inadvertently contributed to his physical fitness.
