During a Billboard interview, he interrupted the interviewer’s description of him as the US king of Afrobeats, asserting his leadership across the entire genre.
Davido’s focus remains on creating good music that transcends borders. He highlighted the global reach of his music, mentioning that even prisoners have heard his work.
Catering to a broad audience, he’s currently working on separate albums for both African and American markets. His favorite collaborative project so far, “2 AM” featuring Casanova and Tory Lanez, exemplifies his desire to blend cultures, seamlessly merging American, Canadian, and Nigerian influences.
